handwriting vs. typing recs.

I don't know if the colleges prefer hand written or typed rec letters.. but my counselor wrote my harvard and princeton ones out while attached letters for other schools. Which one do they prefer more?

probably typed? its a lot more professional than submitting a handwritten rec on lined paper...

not on lined paper. most schools give spaces for handwriting...

typed recs are better, especially if the recomender has terrible handwriting. Sadly, my chem teacher wrote my recomendation in his illegible handwriting. i wasn't too happy about that. It was like someone had scratched all over a sheet of paper. not a good impression.

However, if the recomender has good penmanship, then I guess that it's tolerable.
