Hey guys,

I know this one teacher really well and I know that she would give me a terrific rec, but the problem is that her handwriting is illegible... Should I still ask her for a rec or ask her to type it?

Thanks,
Kevin

Normally teachers type their letters of recommendation. Don’t worry about this one.

Agreed. It would never enter a teacher’s mind not to use a computer for this task.

What you may not appreciate is that the teacher is hardly going to enter any information directly onto the form. If she does the recommendation online, she’ll type a few responses into the blanks, write the letter in Word, and then copy and paste it into the recommendation form. If she does the recommendation on paper, she’ll complete a few fill-in-the-blank items by hand, but she’ll still write the letter in Word, and then she’ll attach a copy to the form.

Okay. Thanks guys!
