In terms of actual difficulty from the ones I’ve taken:
Easiest: Microeconomics or Calculus AB or BC
Hardest: AP Physics C: Mechanics

In terms of getting a 5 due to the curve (again, of the ones I’ve taken):
Easiest: Calculus AB or BC (take your pick)
Hardest: Macroeconomics

This is relative. For most people, Micro is probably harder than Macro, but my class spent far more time on Micro than Macro. Also, Physics B is a FAR easier exam than Physics C, but also has a slightly tougher curve.
The Calculus exams are just easy as far as APs go. At least for me.

AP English Language (5)
AP Bio (5)
AP US History (5)
AP World (4)

This week taking AB Calc, Stats and US Gov.

Found best prep was Princeton Review books to fill in teacher gaps. Did not declare any one test significantly easier/ harder than another. Most surprisingly, learned that her AP scores were not required of her for admissions purposes at her ED school (to which she was accepted), nor did she have to exhaust all the AP offerings at her high school to be competitive. Check with each college—AP scores may not factor as much as you think in admissions decisions. We were led to think otherwise (especially since folks on CC post their AP scores on the decisions threads).

I’m ranking perceived difficulty of exam, from easiest to hardest:

English Language
Human Geography
Art History
European History
US History
World History
French Language

It should be noted, however, that some of the tests that I ranked as the hardest (US History/World History) actually have a much more forgiving curve, so even thought it felt very hard while I was taking it, you are able to (and expected to) miss lots of MC questions and even bomb a FRQ and still end up with a passing score. On the contrary, the English Language exam, which felt extremely easy, has a very harsh scoring system that could definitely be very problematic if someone is not comfortable with English or runs out of time on either section.

I’m probably taking Calc BC, Physics C, Government, one of the Economics, and Literature next year, and I wouldn’t be surprised if my list finds a new “hardest” once I’m done with those.
