What is the hardest course you have completed at UCB?

For what reason was it difficult? (high workload, difficult exams, terrible professor, lack of interest)

PHYSUCKS!!

lol sorry but only recently have i started to have "some" kind of success in that ridiculous class

I didn't take this class but CS C150 is notoriously hard. CS61C, EE126 are in the hard category too.

When I took CS 150, I spent over 250 hours on the course project in a period of 7 weeks (the last 7 weeks of the semester). My partner spent the same amount of time, so we totaled over 500 hours. Most groups definetely broke 400 total hours, and breaking 500 was not atypical. In addition to that project, there were the weekly problem sets, about 30 hours of labs, and 3 exams. I had the hardest professor, but the workload is always extreme for 150. CS 152 is worse.

...but don't worry. These are the most time intensive courses at Berkeley. In fact, they're in an entirely different league. And they're not required: you control your destiny :).

wow... are cs courses required for premed...

CS courses aren't typically required for pre-meds; you guys get to experience the fun that is Chem 3 Series, Math 1 Series, and the Bio 1 series.

Jw, what is your major Golden Bear?

I'm undeclared, but MANY of my friends are pre-med and are enjoying Chem 3A and the 44% average on their latest midterm.

hm, I guess that's something not to look forward to the coming first semester... given I've never taken ap chem, nor do i remember any of the honor's chem my soph year... lol

Don't worry. You don't take Chem 3A (organic chemistry) until AT LEAST after you take Chem 1A (general chemistry for non-chemistry-majors.)

I heard Chem 120A (physical chemistry) is the hardest science course at Cal.

is CS150 required for Robotics?

Robotics is just an option. Options are only for guidance. Granted, if you are interested in robotics, it wouldn't be smart to avoid CS 150.
