DEATH TO HARRY DEATH TO HARRY DEATH TO HARRY DEATH TO HARRY!

spits furiously at laptop screen... now damaged and freckled by splotches of spit and dinner from tonite and also... the blood from inquilinekea's macaw SQUAWKKKK!!!

lol no don't kill harry, just train him into an uber wizard who can kick anyone's ass

I'm behind on my re-reading. I'm only on POA. I need to start reading at warp speed or something.

lol well you're ahead of me at least...im only on CoS

check out this CNN article

<a href="http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/books/07/05/harrypotter.mythology.ap/index.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/books/07/05/harrypotter.mythology.ap/index.html</a></p>

it was an interesting article, but i wish the 'experts' on literature would have elaborated more. to me, it seemed as though those that were saying harry would live were saying it because they had a feeling that he would ("I don't get the sense that J.K. Rowling has set us up for that kind of sacrifice," he said. "The first six books haven't given a sense of that tragedy to me. It's generally hopeful.")
BASE IT OFF EXAMPLES, DAMNIT!

haha dont worry people...it'll be out soon

i think harry is going to die. i have a feeling :) I hope he live though.

Everyone will die and Snoop Dogg will emerge victorious.

I know I will.

i hope ron dies...oh and ginny also...

You know what, while don't we have everyone die except for true evil, then to make everything even better, the book itself contains a time bomb which goes off when the reader finishes it.

What the hell people, I agree with whoever said the books aren't full of tragedy, what precedent is there for harry's death?

Well, if you believe in the Harry-is-a-horcrux theory, then Harry HAS to die in order to defeat Voldy.

But he isn't, so he won't.

Well, fine. I'm not sure about that theory either... but Harry is dead. D-E-A-D. It's the only ending that makes sense.

harry is the tragic hero. he's going to die. throughout the book, harry's written as this courageous, brave person who puts everyone else's safety before his. he's obviously going to do some brave crap and use the stupid "power of love" to defeat voldy and then die somehow or kill himself for being a pansy.

Harry has to die and be a martyr, thats the only way to end the series. If he doesn't the whole series is crap.

what if instead of dying, there was a way to get rid of his wizarding abilities. that would have him sacrifice something (being a hero) but not die (prevent have all the HP fans from revolting).
