Any thoughts on the curve this year? Being from Maryland the cutoff is pretty nasty.....Last year I had like 9 wrong on the math 4, 5 grid ins and I received a 61.

Why is there such a harsh curve on the PSAT?

the curve is always harsh. i got ONE wrong on math two years ago and got a 76.

they give such a harsh curve because the test is easier?

1) less questions than SAT
2) the group of kids taking the PSAT is pretty competitive, unlike the SAT which everyone takes

yeah, last year i got one fill in wrong for math...(no points off) and got a 75
i think thats crazy

The questions seemed quite a bit easier than the SAT I took in June. Are they supposed to be similar or is the PSAT naturally easier?

Getting one wrong in any section lowers your score by a LOT. Not just this year, but every year. Especially on the math section :/
