Hartt - EA

If you apply EA the application fee is waved :)

Hartt just called my D and told her that they knew that common app has been a big problem and wanted to let her know they received hers with no problem and that if she had any questions to please let them know. Thought that was awesome customer service.

Hartt is just so invested in the students, their education, and in making terrific theater. When I think that we were uncertain before D went there-- and I see all she is learning and all the opportunities she has, I just feel so lucky. I’m glad your D is applying, Bisouu.

How is your daughter doing? We will have to let our d’s talk if mine gets in :)

My son will be there on Dec. 7 for Musical Theatre audition. It will be his first, and I’m so glad he has an opportunity to get the ball rolling. Hartt looks wonderful. This is also one of the few schools that we can actually visit, and my son is eager to check it out.

Please fill us in on his experience and what you thought. We will not be able to visit until after acceptance letters go out.

Definitely, Bisouu. My D is just blooming so happily there. They are starting their second sophomore show and she is just so full of talk about the rehearsals, the way they’re staging it, how talented everyone in the cast is, how exciting to be working like this… She is working so hard. The main thing I see is that, once you’re accepted, the faculty is committed to you-- you will be cast, in roles that will challenge you; you will go to the showcase. They expect a lot of the students but they give so much back, and it’s always about theater as true art.

I agree with Gwen, my son is also an AT major and absolutely loves it!!! It does keep him very busy, so much though he doesn’t have time to call home :frowning: HA! He has told me many times how thankful he is of this school and how much it has changed his life.

I will Bisouu. He received the confirmation for the Dec. 7 audition today. I let out an eeeeek! This is starting to feel real. I would also like to give Hartt/U of Hartford kudos for the call regarding the Common App. It was a real person, not computer generated. When my son uploaded the info for the Harrt supplement he received an e-mail the next day to say he would need to re-send as a PDF. He did, and received another e-mail that the supplemental documents came through OK and he was all set. We both appreciate the personal touch and prompt response.
