I know this program is supposedly for designed for non-business undergrad majors. I am a Junior math major at boston college with minors in economics and islamic civilization. gpa: 3.77/4.00. never taken the gmat, act in h.s. was 32. and i'm a guy. Are the first two of my concentrations different enough from business to really be considered for this program? In addition, what kind of jobs/support is there for the 2 years of work? Could I work for the treasury or something? I only ask since to study abroad I won a David L. Boren National security Education program scholarship to study in Morocco, and since the scholarship was government funded, I owe them one year of work. I am hoping to apply as like a gs-7 economist for treasury to fulfill this. just lookin for if i should even apply/what are the chances.

My son finished his undergraduate degree (applied math) this spring and will be starting at HBS under the 2+2 program in the fall of 2013. He was admitted under 2+2 just before he started his senior year of college so it made his senior year a whole bunch less stressful.

My advice is to apply - what do you have to lose? Let HBS tell you no, don’t tell yourself no. I think the 2+2 program has evolved from one looking almost exclusively for math/science/engineering kids to a broader group so I think your background is certainly favorable.

Regarding jobs for those two years, my son found 2 (almost 3) very good jobs in the Boston area all heavily involving math so this seems to be a good time to be graduating with a math degree.

BTW, my daughter is a sophomore at BC (Fenwick last year, Walsh this year) and I went to BC back in the 1970’s.

Good luck.

The 2+2 has evolved from one looking almost exclusively for math/science/engineering kids to one that also try to lure humanities and social science undergrads with high GPA from law schools such as Columbia, UChicago, and NYU.

"My undergraduate concentration is in a business-related field, and I have had a lot of business exposure. Is 2+2 the right program for me?

When the 2+2 Program was originally created it primarily targeted students who were not already on a business track (i.e. students studying the liberal arts, sciences, engineering, etc.). However, we are now encouraging students from all undergraduate majors to apply; that includes those with concentrations and experiences in business-related fields."

I am a senior at Brandeis, B.S in Health Science and Business. GPA 3.76
I am working on my senior honors thesis about commercial surrogacy, does that add any value to my application?
GMAT ranges from 630-690
I had 3-4 internships in different hospitals in Boston, ranging from marketing, clinical research to Development. I worked as research assistant for a professor at Brandeis.
As for extra curricular activities, I have been Marketing Coordinator for Parents Weekend, Event Coordinator for Cultural Club, and Coordinator for a big production that showcase performances from different clubs on campus.

Is it possible for me to be chosen?
