I'm considering applying to Harvard's 2+2 Program - geared towards recruiting college seniors to HBS. In thinking ahead to possible recommenders, two immediately come to mind. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if they'd fit the application for a business school.

First off, I'm a transfer student. The president of my last college has offered to write rec letters for me regardless of what grad school path I choose. Next, the dean of my current college - whom I've had as a professor and I've worked with in extra-curriculars - offered to do the same. Both would speak to intellectual ability and leadership, I hope, but wouldn't say anything about work experience.

Now, I've always worked full-time while going to school full-time. I've had a couple of cool internships - and I've been restricted to paid ones - but I doubt that letters from those bosses would have the same impact as the two I've mentioned above.

What do you guys think? Two letters from people with similar roles? A bit one-sided?
