Harvard Admitted Students Weekend = free?!

I hate to say I’m not deserving, but uhhh…this is just all so random. I still don’t know why I was chosen to receive a likely letter. Perhaps Harvard is looking to have some all-around good people (if I do say so myself, I’m really laid back and excruciatingly uncompetitive) to balance out the type-A dominance in Cambridge. That’s actually why I might not attend…

Wow, congrats Passionfruit! You just look for the school that fits you best, it’s not all about prestige, you’ll most likely do great at whichever school you end up in.

Are you home-schooled passion?

I have heard there is a huge correlation with likely letters and homeschooling (and of course being an athlete)

absolutely not!

Did u have an interview before the likely letter if so how did it go?

Haha, owned. Anyway, congrats on your likely, Passionfruit11!

Come to Yale! ;)

@beachprincess1 Yes, I did have an interview. I thought it went really well–I’m definitely a people person, and pretty sociable (read: normal).

@YeloPen, about that…I loved Yale when I visited. I actually thought it was better than Harvard, but just my opinion. I never got contacted for an interview, unfortunately, but I hope I get in!

Glad to hear that
I personally like Yale much, much better (even putting my rivalry bias aside). If you liked Yale from visiting campus, I’m sure you’ll like it even MORE when you visit for Bulldog Days :)

Assuming I survive the brutal admissions committees though…a BIG assumption…

Not as big of an assumption as it is for most of us though since you’ve already gotten a likely letter for Harvard ;)

Maybe, but I feel like this is happening due to my interviews on-campus and at home…neither of which happened at Yale :(

Passion, did you fly to Cambridge to have your interview?

Well, he lives in Iowa (as stated by himself in this thread). Are you seriously suggesting that he might have walked the 1235 mile trip?

All kidding aside, yes, I would assume so. Though I guess a two/three day roadtrip is entirely possible.

I did in fact drive…I made an entire East Coast college visiting Odyssey last fall. Soooo much driving, soooo many cornfields (I adore the midwest).

So now I feel like I’m hijacking the Harvard board…but…I REALLY WANT TO GET INTO YALE!!!

ROAD TRIP  If you end up going to Yale we should totally have a road trip. Ugh. I think my friends and I are taking a road trip up to NorCal this summer but I don’t even have my license yet.

Nice, you young’un. So are you considering 'vard?

When was your interview? December?

I’m going to be in the Boston area, I’m wondering if I should call admissions and suggest an interview on campus since I’m there…

Mine was in November…I’m 99% certain they’re done interviewing for the season, sorry.

You mean interviewing on campus? The interviews for areas take place all the way up to March.
