<p>It'd just an award given by your high school that is given to a kid that fits the criteria that the alumni in your area set. Meaningless for admission purposes. Sometimes you get a book.</p>
<p>"The Harvard Book" in fact... Only harvard would publish a book specifically for its book award... I've tried reading it...and its pretty uninteresting. In my school which eliminated class rank, its a way of acknowledging the projected valedictorian.</p>
<p>It's good. Local Harvard alumni select these awards. Who may interview you in your senior year.</p>
