oh and i also attended an interview with a Harvard alumni which went very well.

If you’ve interviewed, you’re already in the pipeline, no? Knowing the numerical odds, no one has a decent chance. You have many items that say you’re in the ball park but what will replies to this post do for you? Will the number of “hang in theres” from anonymous posters ease your wait? Will a few “you have poor chances” really spoil your day? Are you hoping for a few “I think you’ve got a good chance” posts?

Ask yourself why you posted and what your desired replies were to be. I think that’s more salient to discover rather than reading peoples’ comments on your chances.

everyone is a reach for Harvard

kudos to T26E4, what you said should really be a bulletin, opened my eyes atleast :P

2140 and 31 are on the lower end

you have an ok chance, but as the posts above mention: Harvard is a reach for everyone as are all the ivy’s you never know who they are going to choose.

Chance back!

Hold up you got a 720 on math SAT1 and a 750 on Math SAT2 what’s up with that

Are you Asian? I can’t tell but that Bharatha dance sounds Indian (excuse my ignorance).

I don’t think you have a chance. Your val. status turns your “zero chance” to a “I doubt it.”

GL and look for some other schools! I think you are competitive for the lower Ivies.

thank you for all your responses… and good luck with those of you who are applying to schools… and yes I am indian

about the math scores… im not sure why but i just couldnt pick up the extra points

i think you do have a pretty good chance. you’re not too far off from the middle-50 of Harvard students. and your ECs look pretty good. are you considering a major in something science-related?

again, I think you have a chance. how much of a chance, i don’t know, because the ivies are so unpredictable. good luck!

[chance me back?](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/866589-chances-columbia-again.html)

Harvard - Reach

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/859569-chance-virginia-tech-georgia-tech.html</a></p>

with those scores- no. sorry

matt: for god’s sake don’t be so pessimistic. i know someone who got in with similar test scores. it all depends on how the person looks to the adcoms. if the essays and recs are great and the people can tell “who you are,” that person will have an advantage over someone who has higher test scores but no personality.

I saw people like you got into Harvard but many of them got rejected, you never know Harvard admission myth.

mediopollito - here on this forum we try our best to be accurate in telling the OP what we think is the truth. We’re not here to tell kids that don’t have a chance that they have a chance. You said it yourself - “you’re not too far off from the middle-50 of Harvard students” (by students I hope you meant applicants). Harvard will select the top 8%ile of applicants. If you are in the middle 50 - virtually no chance.

You have as good of a chance as any one else.

if you can increase you sat 100-200 more points or increase your ACT 2-3 points then you will have a higher chance.

but it is still a high reach.
