I am a student from Nepal and am thinking of applying to Harvard , but my SAT reasoning test scores are really low 710 in Maths and 540 on CR. So , can i give it a try or am i way too low on the Ivy scale ?

You can certainly give it a try, but you need to get on top of the standardized test game right now. You only have a month left if you need to take anything again, which I would recommend for the SAT I. Do you have a TOEFL score if English isn’t your first language? That would help salvage the CR. (The 710 isn’t bad.) And have you taken two SAT II subject tests? If you haven’t, I guess that should be your priority, since your application is not complete and you cannot be considered for admission without them.

I have registered for the TOEFL and Subject tests Biology-m , physics and Maths …SAT reasoning cannot be taken again or…I’ll be out of my dates so…with the above scores …do you think its worth applying ??

Oh how I dislike being asked for a simple yes or no on these things. Look, it probably can’t hurt, since being from Nepal is going to be fundamentally different–and probably, depending on your background, much harder to score well on standardized tests in English from–than being from America or even the top schools in China, say. However, please please do find and research other options for higher education, if you haven’t already. Betting the house on Harvard is never a good idea for anyone. (Also, if you scored 630+ on writing, my answer leans toward “yes;” if you scored 550- and don’t do well on the TOEFL, my answer leans toward “no.”)
