@fedfan1998 - I doubt if it is your SAT scores, unless you submitted both SAT and ACT and one shows as Academic work. Alternatively, it could be a transcript from an institution other than your high school. In my case, I am pretty sure it was the latter.
My counselor told me that he doesn’t send a mid-year report until late Jan -early Feb(first semester) despite us receiving our first quarter grades in early December. Is that a problem? Cz on the portal it says awaiting mid-year school report.
@yerin2021 - mid year reports are not due till Feb. I have confirmation from AO. First quarter is not mid year.
@yerin2021 - btw - how did your Skype interview go? Did your Internet hold up good?
@MedSciBud Yeah, perhaps! I attended Harvard Summer School and sent my transcript from there to the Admissions Office, but that was like 3-4 weeks ago and something I certainly don’t think took that long to be processed. The scores I sent in were Subject Tests, not the regular SAT, and those showed up as being entered yesterday.
@fedfan1998 that is exactly what mine would also have been. Thats probably what they meant when they told you “internal document”
@MedSciBud Oh, I see. I was just worried cause it said awaiting in the portal. I haven’t had my interview yet. It’s tonight. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Guys I just wanna confirm. Should my recommender submit the final rec via commonapp or using the direct link (no I’m not out of slots on commonapp I just wanna know what would be a preferred method)
There is no preferred method other than to get it in. Harvard accepts mailed hard copies and faxes too. They allow all options.
@CrimsonZa - if you want to reuse the rec for other schools that you may apply in future through CA, you should use CA. Harvard will automatically download and attach to ur file once submitted and assigned on CA.
Agreed; they don’t care which method is used.
And FYI @CrimsonZa - when you received the portal access email, Harvard would have included a URL for additional recommendations. If you choose to have your recommender submit directly to Harvard, I think you should use that URL instead of fax or email or hard copy, because per the email - recs submitted using that link will be directly and automatically attached to your file.
Thanks!
What day is the last day to send in supplementary recommendation letters? I called them and they said 11/15 but for all their other supplements, its 11/10…help would be greatly appreciated!!!
If you already heard it directly from them, would you trust that or some unofficial comments here on CC?
True but on slideroom, one of the pages said it was due 11/15, and then another page said 11/10 so I’m not really sure if that was just a glitch on their webpage
Hi,
Did anybody else apply early and is still waiting for an interview? Are they still interviewing candidates for SCEA? US citizen, lives in the US. Haven’t heard anything yet
Hi everyone!
Just wondering if there are any fellow New Zealand applicants here?
@Publixsw1, yes others haven’t gotten an interview yet, me included. It depends on Alumni availability. No interview shouldn’t affect chances for EA.
God, I’m just so damn proud to even be able to participate in this thread. Good luck to you all.
