Same… I haven’t gotten any information regarding an interview for Harvard EA. Also when will decisions be released? Is it exactly December 15?
I dont think we know
So, my counselor did not submit his recommendation letter yet. I went to his office every day and he kept procrastinating. Now I have a vacation for a week, through which I have no access to him. I sent him an email and he did not reply. Would this hurt my app, and what should I do?
I thought counselor recommended was required?
It is, and that’s what is troubling me. He will surely submit it, but I am afraid he will wait till next week.
@amhedsheta just go with a PC or a piece of paper to his office and just tell him “sir, I really need this!” And ask him to recommend you verbally( give you the points and thingies he wants to say) and then write/type them out for him. And then give it to him to add on and submit. Lol :))
@CrimsonZa Guess what…that’s exactly what happened. I went to his office and wrote a paper with all what he wants to write and handed it to him to submit and guess what…he didn’t. Now I won’t have access to him till after 8 days. What I am asking is what I should do, and whether this will have a negative effect on my app?
Any applicant from India? :)>-
@ahmedsheta I don’t think that it would have a ‘negative’ effect on your app, but it might be inconvenient for the admissions officers cz they have been reading apps. I don’t think there is anything you can do but wait tho if u r on vacation. If you can, just keep going back to his office or get your parents involved.
Yeah I think you should get your parents involved. Or ask for his password and submit it
@intellectboy Yes I am!
@intellectboy Yes!
Is there any Indian citizen with an interview invite?
@yerin2021 @CrimsonZa I didn’t want to get my parents into the issue but since I feel it is becoming urgent now, I most probably will.
Thank you guys.
@ahmedsheta - did you talk to your principal yet? This will definitely affect your application. Not sure if they will send you a “required material not received” notice or just discard your application, but I think you should get your principal involved first, and if that does not work - get someone higher up involved.
My counselor submitted the school report and transcript. What is missing is the counselor recommendation, which I believe is very important.
@ahmedsheta - ok - I am sure colleges won’t hold you responsible for something like this, which is totally beyond your control. Also, if you get principal, and others involved (like I suggested earlier), s/he may write a crappy recommendation - you may be better off without it. So, dread carefully. Good luck. Keep us posted.
Just finished my college interview! Now we wait 33 days to go
33 days seems like forever rn. But we’ll get there. @krauser126 How did your interview go?
I feel like I bombed mine…and it was with an admissions officer so yeah …
How long was everyones interview?
1 hour 15 minutes for my son.
