Hi to all, I am international, currently at IB 12-th grade, all 7s, total 45 plus a certificate of French. Amazing extracurriculars, essay, perfect recomendations, but low SAT (1420). Toefl 115. SAT Math 2 - 760. Any chance of being admitted? Thanks to all.
International is a lot more competitive than local. Did you apply EA?
Applied to Columbia ED
If you are applying Harvard RD, check out their international admit stats
just worry about my SAT
Most likely several others have higher score than that
anyone has an idea if good essay, extracurriculars, toefl score of 115, IB diploma of 45 (out of 45) plus an extra certificate of French can compensate a low SAT of 1420?
retaken SAT, waiting for results
Btw - this is a Harvard SCEA applicants discussion. Pls post yours in a new or correct thread
ok thank you
@sungirl Just replied to you PM! Here’s Harvard’s number in case someone else wants it: +1 (617) 495 1551
@seeadmit Zambia has limited interviews as well but @CrimsonZa managed to get one! I’m really worried for my candidacy!
Just curious which SAT are you guys submitting, old or new? If you don’t mind sharing
@Jay37p - colleges don’t care. Submit the one that you believe is the best, or submit both because Harvard superscores.
@MedSciBud Yo, no offense, buddy. But you seem to be on the Harvard thread a lot, and I can tell circumstantially that you’re pretty stressed by this whole process.I am, too, but there’s a lot more you can do in the waiting period. If you need something to keep you busy, I recommend writing essays for other colleges lol. It’s kept my mind off this pretty well.
@fedfan1998 yup good suggestion. School and essays are my distractions. Stressed or not, posting here or not, the fact is that nothing is in our hands right now.
Plus, my idoc documents have not still been processed. I uploaded them on 3rd November. I have no idea what is wrong with this too
Just go out and enjoy time with friends and be glad that the process is over. December 15 will be here whether we like it or not and before we know it we will be opening our decision letters. I’m just ecstatic that everything is done (with Harvard). You either got in or you didn’t. Nothing any of us can do about it at this point. If you didn’t get an interview, it isn’t your fault - don’t worry about it. Try to relax a bit senior year, it’s your last year to enjoy time with your hometown buddies.
For some people stressing is their way to relieve stress …hahaha :)) … :))
Any applicants from the middle east here?
