Awesome @Clareesi - that’s the spirit. What are your backups / safeties, if I may ask?
I would really appreciate yall for posting your results. Thanks in advance!
Why do I feel like its the 13th of December right now? It’s 02:22 and I can’t sleep because of the anxiety. Plus all my American friends keep posting on Facebook that they got into Stanford/ Cornell and I will be like “Yay another international rejected from H”
Sorry, don’t want to bring negativity here (I just finished two Columbia essays both focused on positivity so I guess I had to balance somehow).
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
I will assume that any user whose just registered and claims to have been admitted before 12/13 is pranking and said user will be banned.
For the rest of you, you should assume the same and not engage the person. I am not here 24/7 to monitor. Report the user, and one of the other mods can review if I am not online.
Thank you @skieurope for cleaning this thread up.
Thank you @ivyleaguedreamen for pledging.
@Theoddorre - turn off your phone and computer and go to sleep. Nothing is going to happen or change because you are awake - other than you not being able to focus on school tomorrow. - Bonne Nuit!
@yuvanni - thank you for posting the email copy on your post #1002. From what I read, they are hoping for the 13th, but saying mid-december, just in case.
I spent time at Harvard last summer while I was staying at MIT for the E2@MIT residency. Although I have an above average chance for getting into MIT (more than 50% of program participants are admitted), I will not send in my application if accepted to Harvard.
@Ceciliaagnes - what convinced you to apply to H rather than MIT?
Also - you have not pledged to enter your results yet. Could you please, for the sake of future applicants?
@MedSciBud, I have it saved as a draft; I will definitely post good, bad or indifferent. As far as H over MIT; don’t get me wrong, I would be humbled to go to either. I plan on studying Biological Research, and MIT has made great strides there and studying at either school would be amazing. But the musical opportunities at Harvard had me leaning in that direction. The chance to audition for the Harvard Radcliffe Orchestra would be amazeballs. I do not intend to major in music performance, but still plan on it being a big part of my life.
Hi guys, I’m an international applicant! Just pledged. I benefitted lots from past year threads, so it’s good that we can help put things in perspective for future batches. GOOD LUCK TO ALL.
Hopefully more international applicants can pledge as well! It will definitely be helpful since international chances are often so elusive to gauge.
@MedSciBud I don’t think you should be pressuring people to pledge. Some people just personally don’t want their information out on the internet; everything can be traced back to them in the end. Honestly, even thought it is useful for future applicants( in terms of keeping calm and predicting their results), I doubt it will have any impact on their chances on getting in. Please respect the decisions of others, especially when it comes to their privacy. Many of us who has been keeping with this thread ( and CC in general) are probably aware of the pledge.
@doctomd good advice, but CC is a voluntary forum, no one is pressuring anyone here? And even if one types his / her name on the pledge, no one is obligated to do anything else. Anyways, point well taken buddy. Good luck.
haha hey @kandykoloredbaby I’m also an international applicant! Just pledged, hopefully I will be able to post some good results if I do get in I’d be the very first from my province to attend harvard college lol so fingers crossed
just curious - what are you guys planning to major in?
haha hi @kurtgu9903 where are you from? Wow that would surely be a feat if you do get in, good luck
northeastern China, what about you? @kandykoloredbaby lol thanks, good luck to both of us
@samasaurus poli sci! you?

Is it bad to apply undecided? It seems only a small percentage of students are undecided, as per Harvard online stats.
Forget the stats, all of it doesn’t matter trust me. If your entire application is in sync with your activities, your choices, your essays, your recommendations, then its fine. It’s okay to be undecided if you’ve demonstrated equal passion towards multiple fields and that’s who you are.
