Hey y’all I’m dropping by from the Stanford REA thread, we got decisions last week and I was deferred. Good luck to all of you and I promise that the constant feeling like you’re about to throw up will go away the second you click on the email, no matter what the results are. Please remember that the decision is not a reflection of your intellectual worth…even if it’s not Harvard, you’ll find a school that you love.

Did not realize that about those cities. We really didn’t have much say in where we visited as our family was adopting a little boy from Changchun and so there we went. We toured beautiful parks and green spaces and so I guess we didn’t notice too much the amount of pollution. It was a very happy occasion for our family 
I called just now. Confirmed it’s today after 5pm. They didn’t say at 5pm, but I’m assuming it’ll be around that time. Good luck to all of us!
Just a question I wanted to ask. In the results thread page, it says URM. What would be considered a URM. Hispanic? Peruvian? etc.
Usually black, hispanic, etc are URM because they’re pretty underrepresented in the applicant pool in comparison to other races/ethnicities.
Just called and was told results will be coming out after 5 pm EST.
@johonmilla CC consensus has it that URM refers to only African Americans, Native Americans and Latin Americans that have traditionally comprised small percentages on college campuses. Thus international students cannot be considered URM…however elite American colleges pride themselves on having students that represent greater geographic diversity…so to some extent a Peruvian may be URM.

@Crimsontide101 , Harvard is on Eastern coast, which is EST, so I guess its safe to assume its EST.
