Daughter received interview email two days after submission. Scheduled for first week of jan
Back here from the EA chat, I was deferred. Applying to all the ivies, Duke, Tufts, Brandeis, Williams, Amherst, Wesleyan and Im already in to Umass Amherst HNs College so thought why not go crazy with my schools.
Deferred by Brown ED. Also applying to Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Dartmouth, Stanford, Amherst, Bowdoin, Williams, Vassar, Davidson, Colby, Bates, Middlebury, and some state schools. Good luck to everyone!
have there ever been cases of deferred internationals getting in?
My son just had interview tonight. Also applying Stanford.
how did the interview go?
He said pretty good.
received interview request
When did you submit your application? Just curious. I submitted mine on Dec 31st, but did not get anything…
@luckyhadley i think dec. 31 as well. I live in a big city tho.
@chocolatehusky Thank you! Best of luck with your interview!
Hello, fellow RD applicant, submitted my application September 31st and interviewed in early November. Best of luck to everyone.
I was accepted EA but have no real advice since so many great applicants, whom i felt were as qualified as me, were deferred. However, i am happy to answer any questions you have.
Has anyone been contacted for interview yet?
No alumni have contacted me til this point.
I’m worried.
I’ve gotten interviews for YP and S, but not Harvard. I wouldn’t worry too much I guess. I’m in the same boat as you.
Thanks! By YP, S, do you mean Yale, Princeton and Stanford?
I had my interview today. We had a fantastic time! Here’s to hoping (:
Does Harvard still send likely letters to RD applicants? Is so, when do they send those out?
Yes.
Starting mid-Feb, IIRC.
But I will state, which I said to your identical question on the Penn thread: the vast majority of accepted applicants will not get likely letters, so don’t constantly refresh your email looking for one.
I’m panicking! I had my Princeton interview about a week and a half ago but still haven’t heard from Yale, Harvard, or Stanford! what does that mean?
