@ivymom1921 LOL! Agreed!
BTW, UVA’s a great school! Especially if she’s an Echols Scholar … she should focus on falling in love with that option! Congrats - I’m assuming that’s the school you’re referring to.
Harvard’s accepting only 40 waitlisted applicants? Damn, we’re done.
@harvardprinceton that was what I was told by the Senior admissions officer as of May 12. She said around 40.
Hey guys,
Did Harvard actually start calling people off the waitlist today( the first wave)? Or is everything still up in the air? Also will Harvard continue calling people off the waitlist throughout this week or is it just a one day thing for the first batch?
it’s okay guys don’t stress if it’s meant to be it’s meant to be. even tho H said they didnt admit anyone from the 2017/2021 waitlist, i know someone was offered 2021/2022 option in mid june cuz they realllly wanted that person (chose 2022 tho cuz planned to take a gap year anyway, that’s probably why it didn’t show up on the stats). so anything can happen! Just wait. and good luck to all!
The first wave of decisions will probably come out tomorrow right? People were saying it was on a Monday last year but the first day was really a Tuesday… Fingers are crossed.
40 off the waitlist is a very reasonable number. 1950 were offered during EA and RA. 83% of those committed, so that’s 1618. Harvard has dorms for 1666 or so, that leaves 40+ slots open.
any updates?
Did anyone call Harvard and ask when decisions will start going out?
It is recommended to send Harvard my second-semester grades if they are good?
Sure, but they don’t care. At this point, they’re focusing on class balance and institutional priority, not whether you have 5 A’s or not. If they don’t think you’re qualified academically, they would’ve just rejected you instead of waitlisting you
Any updates ??
haven’t heard anything yet
Same.
An international student just said they got off the waitlist on A2C on reddit
