are harvard club receptions good, like does it mean you have a good chance

or is it for everyone?

I think that they are for everyone. I was accepted, but my email invite asked me to forward it to anyone that I knew was applying.

oh crap

oh well.

If you are applying, it may give you a chance to run into your future interviewer in a social setting! Go!

I was already interviewed and it has been the best interview experience ever. The piece of paper helps organize the interview, I believe.

Thanks for the enthusiasm Byerly! I can't wait. :)

Is it still useful to go, to meet the regional guy and hope to reverse a deferral??

Probably, but don't go in with the "please accept me!" attitude! ;)

zogoto, I would do it.

The regional rep reads your app again so go!!! good luck man :)

so it'd definitely be a good idea to go...but if you can't make it, will it reflect negatively on you or do you just lose the possible advantage you could've gained? (and does being deferred make any difference in the consequences?)
