Though my main choice is by far bs/md programs, I still want to use my EA for a strong school in addition to UG schools during RD. Thanks for any input. Which should I use my EA on since I am a NJ resident but Harvard has a higher EA rate.

Harvard doesn’t have a higher REA/SCEA admit rste. Last year it was 16.5% for Harvard, 19.9% for Princeton.

Pick whichever one you prefer though it sounds like you should be focusing more on ED to a BA/MD program.

Your chances of getting into Harvard/Princeton like everyone else 5% unless you have a special talent or situation . Even from private schools it is rare with the only acceptances I’ve heard of are Alumni kids, recruited athletes, URM, overcame a disability or played the organ. Unless you have a specialty the college needs or can demonstrate you can pay full tuition (or more) you are waisting your EA. You would be better off apply Early Decision to a school like John Hopkins or Carnegie Mellon which are still reaches for you but much more attainable.

Except for a good SAT I do not see anything else which can stands out for Harvard and Princton. Your chances are very low.

Forget @KathleenA’s comment about demonstrating you can pay full tuition. That might have been true 30 years ago but it has zero bearing today for either Princeton or Harvard.

Your stats seem pretty good to me, but your GPA and awards are kind of lacking. However, your extracurriculars and SAT scores are excellent, so that should help a lot. Unfortunately Harvard and Princeton get many students like you each year, so unless you have some sort of hook that would separate you from everyone else, your chances are maybe only slightly higher than the average applicant’s.
