So I received a call from a harvard alumni last night and i will go to his house this sunday for interview. But today, i received an email from another alumni saying that i have a phone interview with him. am i supposed to get two interviews? or is this a mistake?

That pretty much sounds like a mistake to me. Granted, when I applied to Harvard, I did get two interviews, but they were not so close in time to each other, plus, the second interviewer had mentioned that the first interviewer failed to offer enough information (however, later on, when working at the admissions office, I discovered that this most likely meant that I was a borderline case between admit and waitlist who needed a more experienced interviewer, the regional coordinator, to offer a real life opinion). You need to inform both your interviewers about the situation, and, the regional coordinator should be able to clear the situation up. Good luck.

My husband does interviews for H .He said it sounds like a mix-up .I would ask at you HS if your name was given to 2 people. Good luck!
