Almost a week away
Yesterday I emailed Elizabeth. Asking my status, because the the deadline was nearing.
And I didn’t get a response. So. I’m almost to the conclusion that I won’t hear anything.

Yeah I’m noticing some flaws in their process… I’m still waiting too. My twitter friend said he knows of some ppl from Harvard that got it. Idk if that’s true or what…
That’s interesting. I didn’t figure if you went to Harvard you could do this program. I’ve seen other schools host programs, etc like this, and it wasn’t like open for their current students. This may be different though.
I still haven’t heard anything either. But I’m agreeing with the flaws in the process thing, I know they have to be busy, but even if some of us make it… only a week isn’t really a good amount of time to interview, get letters, etc.
Hello everyone. I was notified a few days ago that I was a finalist. I received an email requesting that I send in transcripts/score reports within seven days and letters of rec within fourteen days. I wanted to know if anyone else received this email recently? If so, has anyone had an interview yet? Finally, if you make it to the finalist round, are the chances significantly high for you to get in the TRIALS class?
@pepper243 congrats, but it seems like you’re the only one that have made it to the finalists list. We have no idea what is going on, some have been rejected and notified, you made it but some of us haven’t hear either or.

hope though, I’m realistic in thinking I’m probably not a finalist. But for them to give you 14 days to do all this, that’s past the deadline for them to tell us final decisions?? I just am a very organized, timely person, I appreciate notification in a timely manner. Even if it is a rejection. That’s just me, though. Because we all need to plan our summers!! And they still never replied to my email. I’m thinking about calling tomorrow, ha.
So, to be clear, no one else has been notified at all? Has anyone been interviewed? Last year, people were notified and interviewed by this time. This is so strange to me.
No, it seems the only notifications it seems this group has gotten has been rejection or nothing.
My friend from my school also was sent an email telling her no on the 29th.

I called Elizabeth today, was sent to her voicemail, and it was full. Still haven’t heard anything.

So… I’m wondering if the process is alphabetical. It may be coincidence but my peer that for a rejection that was told no on 3/29 and her last name starts with “A,” and my last name starts with “V.” Could be purely coincidental. But I’m just thinking of all the options at this point. Just sucks they’re like this about notification. Just need to plan my summer!!

And I also saw a chat on here from last year or 2015. And someone was saying they had interviewed by the end of march, I believe.
I moved on to plan B. Idk when they’re going to announce the finalists and if they even will let ppl know. The process is full of flaws and it does say a lot about it and the universities involved
I was just contacted requesting additional information. The process is definitely lagging but they seem to be getting back to people now.
