Harvard or Cornell

So, I want to apply to a summer program at either Harvard or Cornell and heres my argument. I would like to attend Harvard University over Cornell Univeristy when I apply as a senior. Currently, I am a sophmore. Right now I think the two courses I want to take at Cornell look a bit more appealing and rigorous than the courses at Harvard. Im from NY and I have a regents examination the week the Harvard SSP starts, but Cornell SSP starts a week after the regents examination. Yet, Harvard extra activities seem more appealing than Cornell's. So my main question i guess is would not going to the Harvard SSP affect my chances of getting into Harvard U. Which one would be better for my situation?

BTW is an essay required for the Harvard and Cornell SSP

Your decision should be based on where you want to spend a summer - Ithaca or Cambridge, not based on where you want to go to school. Neither SSP nor Summer college will help you with admissions in any meaningful way (They can, however, hurt you - if you do very poorly or become a discipline problem).

I did Summer College as a sophomore and absolutely loved it. I ended up attending Harvard though, and loved it too… my guess is you’ll have a great time no matter where you end up going.
