Harvard/Princeton Dec 15 "deadlines"

Both colleges "encourage" applicants to send the apps by dec 15, but I find out the results of a competition a few days after that deadline. Is it worth waiting until I get those results or is it looked down upon to send the stuff after december 15?

It’s not going to hurt if you send in your application after the 15th as long as it’s be for the actual deadline. Just wait.

You can always choose to fax in your results once you get them, if you do send in your application early.

On a side note, are there any other colleges that encourage sending in applications earlier?

Colleges ‘encourage’ students to submit early to help ease their workload, if they are not rolling admissions, when the application is submitted before the deadline will not affect the decision.
