<p>Yeah I don’t understand why people take the subject test in their native language. Yes students might not be prepared for the test, but that’s not the point of taking the test right? Many non -speakers also don’t know the format of the test or questions and still take it.</p>
<p>I had a friend who was an exchange student planning to go to college in the US and she took the japanese language test eventhough she’s been in japan for more than 16 years. I think you are wasting your time because colleges won’t regard it AT ALL. if they know you are a native speaker. I feel the same way with native speakers in freshman year who go straight in the AP Language V classes. Why waste your time when you already know the language ? just because of another AP class?</p>
<p>I keep telling everyone I know that I have no chance, and that I’m bound to get denied admission. That way no one is disappointed if I am rejected, and if I merit admission, it’s that much better.</p>
<p>My son is waiting anxiously for the admission decision. He did have an interview in January. Is every applicant required to have one? How affective is it? Does the summer school at SSP help the application? I just hope my son gets his wish granted. And good luck to all of you!</p>
