Hello! Upon looking through a page or two of this forum, I'd noticed that we didn't have a thread where all the hopefuls for the Class of 2014 could talk! I think it's important to get to know the other people also applying because we're basically all in the same situation!

Let's all post a little something about ourselves:
I applied to Stanford SCEA, but that did not work out as I was rejected, and now I'm looking for a home! I think I found it in Harvard :) I like sunshine and winter break is the best break ever because there is no homework!

Hey, greetings from Colorado! I applied Early just like you did except to Uchicago and MIT. Deferred both places, but not bummed out because Harvard’s been one of my top choices (arguably first choice) for quite some time! Good luck to you :D

Ah, I live in the Midwest (Missouri) and cannot see the appeal of UChicago. Too close for me. Though I, coincidently, am I applying to Denver. :)

Ahhh, deferral isn’t flat out rejection, so that’s good. What are your other “top” choices?

New YORK!!! I bet you get that reaction a lot.

@Maxwell, thank you I’m over Stanford, but it’s nice to hear how amazing I am. But really, I’m just the average high school girl wasting her time on CC and facebook.

I’m from California. I’m not worrying too much about Harvard, because I’m really not expecting anyone to get in. One person has gotten into Harvard in the history of my school haha. We’ve had a few Yalies though, and a lot of Stanford kids. So… we’ll see.

In the mean time, I’m going to enjoy the rest of my senior year, because first semester was not fun.

I’m from Maryland (the part by Washington, DC). i’m not expecting to get into harvard, but it would like to be accepted. it’s not my top choice (idr have one…its prob somewhere between duke, penn, and princeton), but itd be closely behind. again, it’s a hugeee reach for me tho, so i’m trying to keep my expectations low.

No arts supplement. I sent them my research though, even though they said they only wanted it if it was really advanced. I’m not sure what they meant by that, so I sent it in anyway.

Hi All! Thank you for your help! I was wondering when/how the admissions committee will notify us? I’m applying to a lot of schools and I wasn’t sure how Harvard does it. Through the website/email/mail?

I will be sending some research as well…I haven’t submitted yet though so I have to decide which papers to send. I know for sure that I’m sending three political phil papers and moral phil paper (my prospective major is philosophy and I have a lot of political EC’s…so…ya). I’m still debating on whether or not to send this one paper where I, among other things, reformulated Aquinas’ argument from contingency and I THINK that it’s right, but I have one more week left to look for holes in my argument. What are y’all sending in as supplements?

Hello everyone! My name is Morgan (duh, i guess lol) and I submitted my application like 2 1/2 weeks ago. I sent in my creative writing supplement two days ago however they probably will not get it until next week because of the holidays. And have faith everyone because I have faith in all of you :-)
