LOL so my portal isn’t working and they told me I’m gonna have to call em to get the decision. yay. cries dies
@MAS9797 Oh gosh that’s going to be nervewracking!
Did you guys get the “niche” question in your interview?
@MAS9797 RIP
@QueenN22 I agree. See I’d rather just get rejected than get deferred (although maybe not) because then I don’t hold out hope.
@cheerleader16 No, my interview was fairly unscripted (if that’s the word), the only question that I guess was on the list was how many hours I do hw in a week
I’m going to be taking a physics test at the time I get my notification. I might just pass out and forget thermodynamics right in the middle of the dang thing.
@cheerleader16 My interviewer didn’t even ask me why Harvard. He just asked about various activities and about who I am.
I felt like my interview was more of a conversation than anything. The only thing really geared towards what I can offer Harvard was the typical Why Harvard question and what I do outside of school. Other than that we bonded over knee injuries and Ecuador
I’m gonna go see a movie right after school so I can relax until 5
@tuty143 i would so much rather get rejected than deferred haha. Deferal is like rejection but they leave a tiny shred of hope just to crush you three months later.
@flautamagica Ecuador?! are you from there! My parents were born and raised in Guayaquil!
@tuty143 No way! My mom is from there, she’s from Latacunga, about 2 hours away from Quito!!
@tuty143 I never realized there were so many Ecuadorians in the US until this year lol
@flautamagica A solid silver Powell! In my dreams!
@cheerleader16 My interview was…weird. We talked about a lot of things, but niches did not come up.
@Sajidur4 Thank you so much!
Is anyone else like flipping out right now waiting for these decisions because I can’t sit still. It’s literally all I can think about day and night.
If you guys get accepted, are you planning on applying to other schools?
@flautamagica amazing! My parents rarely meet other Ecuadorians. Te deseo mucha suerte en sus aplicaciones!
I check my portal and countdown clock at least 20 times a day… as if they’re going to change…
No one in my area got interviews. We were told that processing and timing was messed up, and that no one would get an interview. They said that it wouldn’t affect our applications…
I hope not ;-|
@QueenN22 No; if I’m accepted, I qualify for full tuition…which would, ya know, actually make affording college a feasible idea. I know this sounds awful, but I don’t know what I’m going to do if I’m not accepted. I have a lot at stake because my mom can’t put any money into college, and she doesn’t want me taking out loans.
