What do you all think about updating Harvard on a new, pretty major extracurricular activity? I feel like they should know but I’m not sure if they take kindly to being sent extra stuff…

@pubkid I would assume that since they’re already starting committees, they won’t accept any new additional information regarding ECs. I may be wrong.

Yeah like @schroscat said it may be too late for SCEA. The admissions office guy I talked to said Monday was the last day for anything to be sent in. If however you get deferred you can send in the update to strengthen your application!

it will only help your application, especially if its pretty major extracurricular activity. I would send it both through the portal and directly to the email of the Harvard admissions officer for your school (ask your guidance counselor for the officer’s email address!). That’s what I’ve been advised to do. Best of luck!
@pubkid I would maybe not send it in this round but put it in the deferral round if necessary. But that also depends on what the activity is.
I was selected for an extremely choosy (all-expenses-paid) program in NYC for “changemakers,” a word I use relatively lightly lol. @tuty143 @highlyaspiring99 @flautamagica
@pubkid congrats! It can’t hurt to send it in now, I’m just not sure it’ll be considered for SCEA…maybe try calling and asking!
