So this year im applying to harvard SSP and would like to know what is necessary to obtain admission into the program?
Also, the program starts in like the third week of june and at that time NYS has regents examinations which may conflict with the program, how do i deal with that?

Don’t worry about Regents, the program plans this well in advance and allows all of the NYS students to leave to take them, you just need to tell your asst. dean about this.

A friend of mine is currently there, and she’s an IB Diploma Candidate… Although, I don’t know her exact stats and the whatnot, she got something like 2050 on the SATs? She retook them and scored higher, but by that time she was already accepted so I don’t think it mattered that much.

I thought Harvard SSP (HS program) was related to ability to pay, how quickly you
register and the fact you have the time to spend the summer on it.
Is Harvard SSP highly selective (like Caltech’s program)?

pardon my ignorance …

Can someone comment about this?

I’m not exactly sure about that, but I figured I mind as well try to help as much as possible…I only know the one person at Harvard SSP, and she’s probably the most qualified person from my school for the classes she’s taking.

Does anyone know of someone being rejected?

Is an essay required for the Harvard SSP?

Some of SSP has to do with ability to pay - approximately 25% of summer school students receive financial aid while 70% of Harvard undergraduates receive financial aid.

Now the thing is that I live like 4.5 hours from Harvard and I doubt my parents will be able to drive me to and back in one day especially if its a weekday

Could I work on my Intel science searc project at Harvard labs
