Harvard supplement ideas ?

I'm unable to decide on what to write for the supplement. Lots of choices are offered... Plus its optional.

Can someone who who actually wrote the essay in the past years - offer some advice.
That'd be greatly appreciated.

Many students are admitted to Harvard without submitting a supplement. Other students submit their supplement from Yale or Princeton to Harvard, just because they don’t know what else to write about. My suggestion: if you don’t have anything else to say – something that hasn’t already been mentioned before in your application – then “don’t push the river” as you might be better off NOT submitting anything extra and just letting Harvard make their decision from the required materials.

I agree with gibby. If you have anything to say, write the essay. If not, don’t force it.

I wrote about why I want to major in a particular area.

So, I have an early final that I should be studying for, but I blocked literally all other sources of distraction on the internet, so CC will have to do.

I wrote mine about one of my hobbies and used it as a conceit of sorts to talk about the virtues of mine that I thought were especially important. It repeated some of the same ideas that I talked about in the Common App but in different ways of bring out different things that I thought were important to me. I know that isn’t the most helpful, but think of it as your portrait in words - even when you write something someone else it should be apparent with little inference what the reflection on you is, because, in the end, that’s what they want to know about.

You know, I should really ask to see my admissions file sometime.
