I've already applied to eleven colleges and now the deadline is approaching and my parents want me to apply to harvard. I tell them it is too late, but they insist that it can be done. So, can it? And more importantly, is it actually viable to do? Here are my stats:

I'm a senior at one of the more competitive high schools in my state.

GPA: ~3.7
SAT: 1550/2290
ACT: 33
SAT II's:
Math IIC: 750
Physics: 800
U.S History: 770

AP Grades:
AP Comp Sci A - 5
AP Compe Sci B - 5
AP Lang - 5
AP Calculus BC - 5
AP US History - 4

Current Courseload

AP Spanish
Multivariable Calculus
AP Lit
AP Physics (counts for both tests)
AP Government (counts for 2 AP classes - AP U.s gov. and AP Comp. Gov.)
Art Foundation (stupid art requirement)

EC's:

Cross Country: 9
Winter Track Varsity: 9 10 11
Spring Track Varsity: 10 11
Volunteer Hours from hospital: 200+ hours
Math club 2 yrs
Science Olympiad 4 yrs
Science Club 3 yrs
Science League 3 yrs
Math Honors Society
National Honors society
Provided fund raising for a local hospital: $200
Volunteered at local religious organization, organized $2,000:
Worked at Tutoring center: 50 hours

Also I'd like to note that I self studied Calculus during pre calculus and took the BC test

honestly your numbers/ECs/etc are a little unremarkable by harvard standards (don't get me wrong they're not bad at all...just a lot like a lot of other applicants to harvard)

so I'm inclined to think that you should just save the money and hope for your 11 other schools

but if you don't mind spending the extra cash and are feeling lucky, then go go go! the optional essay's easy enough

its worth a try it can be done cus there's only the optional essay to write for harvard supplement i think
your stats are way better than mine haha
but you know, theres this school report part 2 form from harvard and i completely didn't know about it until school was over so now i cant submit all my stuff until the jan 1 deadline and im doomed
probably for you too lol

School report Part 2 (the Harvard one) evidently is not necessary as long as the Common App School Report and GC statement is forwarded. (My D called the school, as did others)
Here might lie the problem...getting the Report and the 2 Teacher evaluations in on time.
Your SAT ACT numbers though are absolutely fine (other than perhaps GPA), and you have 3 SAT 2s which Harvard needs.

If you've done the common app, I don't see why you can't if you want to apply. There's nothing extra except fill out some Harvard-specific details on the supplement.

And people wonder why the acceptance rate is so low...

The acceptance rate has been quite low for a long time. I had a high school classmate who put in a "lottery ticket" application to Harvard. He had fairly strong SAT scores for that era (one of the top five guys on the SAT in my graduating class) and rather lousy grades because he thought school was boring. He didn't win the lottery. Another student from my school district, a girl who went to another high school in the district, got in the next year. She was smart enough to find school boring too, but she kept up her grades.
