Harvard Transfer 2018

Anybody looking for transferring to Harvard for Fall 2018?

I don’t think Harvard accepts transfers.

They do. It’s just really hard to get accepted.

Non recruited athletes are being admitted ~ 0.5% admit rate.

^^ To add to what T26E4 just wrote: in any given year about 1500 transfer applicants apply for about twelve (12) transfer slots at Harvard – and probably 1/3 of those slots (4) go to recruited athletes. So the actual transfer admit rate for a non-athlete (8 slots) is south of 1%.

The more specific question – both for yourself and Admissions: Academically, what would Harvard offer you that you cannot obtain from your current school – or any other college for that matter? IMHO a student who is currently attending a community college has a far BETTER chance of answering that question that a student attending a top-20 college. For example: If you are a student at Duke, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, NYU, UCLA etc what could Harvard offer you that cannot be found at your current school? Answer: Academically absolutely nothing! However, the answer dramatically changes if a student is applying from a community college. Bottom line: applying to Harvard as a transfer applicant is like buying a powerball lottery ticket.
