If so, what do they look for? I heard a while back that they rarely accept transfers. Asking for a physics major. Transferring from a CCC (California Community College).
Harvard admits a very small number of transfers; 20-30 I breieve. they are looking for near perfection in all aspects of your academic life and your extracurricular activities.
^^ Actually they admit half that number and my guess is that many of the accepted transfer applicants are recruited athletes: http://www.thecrimson.com/article/2012/6/21/transfer-admissions-one-percent/
FWIW, of the transfers that I personally know (sample size very small clearly), one is international studying a relatively niche concentration and one is a recruited athlete. I would imagine that very few, if any, students transfer in from community colleges.
Ah I see, thanks! I remember hearing a while back that they stopped accepting transfers at some point or something. But, athletes and international students, makes sense!
Yes, they had suspended taking them for a few years. Now they seem to take 12 to 15 about one percent of applicants. I think they look for athletes for the team or some pretty extraordinary person with a crazy hook or someone who has a pretty well defined academic reason for H in particular.
Technically yes, practically no.
