Harvard University Class of 2022 RD Thread

I did SCEA and was called

It is up to the interviewer.

I have not received anything from Harvard including the log in information (Applied late December). Should I be worried?

No, you should not be “worried.” But you should contact them, since you should have received by now. But check your spam folder first.

@Benji3025 Hi so according to your interviewer Harvard offers acceptances to international students by region?? I am really seeking diversity as well as a rich academic experience. I am beginning to wonder if Harvard will be able to offer me the opportunity to network with internationals students or the numbers possibly seem very low at the undergraduate level.

The international numbers for almost every college at Harvard’s level will be low. They all have a hard- or soft-cap on the percentage of internationals comprising a particular class. It’s generally in the 10-12% range.

Do admission officer start reviewing applications when all the components (including scores, mid year report etc) are complete?

They will definitely start well before mid-year reports and February ACT scores are sent since ACT scores won’t be available until 2/21, and most mid-year reports also come in mid-February.

Huh, I still haven’t gotten an interview request. I’m not concerned that it was my admissibility that caused this since I was accepted to Yale, but I am curious.

@FreePariah same. I got accepted to Princeton SCEA, but want more aid so was waiting for Harvard lol

I have pretty much contacted for interview from all the colleges I applied, except Yale SCEA

Hi,
Will Harvard see immigration status like citizen/permanent resident/eligible non-citizen/non-immigrant status as one of the eligibility conditions to process admissions?
or
once they process admissions irrespective of immigration statuses then they will see immigration status to decide fee like in state fee/out of state fee?
and
do each immigration status like citizen/permanent resident/eligible non-citizen/non-immigrant status has % of quota in admission process?

Turns out my Harvard emails were sent to an email that wasn’t the one used for the CommonApp. The interviewer contacted me a few weeks ago and I did not see it until now.

I love Harvard

@zz4343 don’t we all :slight_smile:

How many likelies does Harvard send out every year? Do all the Ivies release their letters at the same time? I only ask because I am curious to see if friends of mine receive any this year.

@FreePariah Does Harvard send likelies to all students or just athletes?

@apdns19 Harvard can send likelies to all students, not just athletes. In fact, most Harvard likelies during the RD round are not for athletes. Athletes usually get likelies during the SCEA round.

@FreePariah Harvard sends out between 200 and 300 likelies each year. The ivies do not release at the same time but rather during the same time period ish (Late February / Early March). I’m sure we both know exactly who will be getting a few likelies (a certain ping pong player at summer camp ^:)^ ).

How can we track if Harvard has received all required financial aid documents? Its portal only tracks admission related items.

@wings17 you can’t. Admitted students however can log into my.harvard to check if all their fin aid documents were received though. I would call Harvard’s financial aid office if you want to find out.
