@LeBirthdayBoss I’m in, just pm me your fb name to be safe LOL, and if anyone else wants to be added just pm ahah
Guys I am HIGHKEY freaking out, my teacher has still not sent my rec letter! I have literally stressed how urgent this is!!! That’s what I get for only having one teacher that actually likes me and then having to pick some other random teacher. @skieurope How much time do you think I have before they toss my application?
@Tobster18 You really should get your College counselor involved to push the teacher, and the CC can also likely inform the admission office of the situation.
@habitualnerd @ballin2022 @ski_racer Hey have you guys gotten contacted yet? I just got contacted by my interviewer but said her report is due on the 12th rip
@VeritasFicta Nope, Idaho only has like 10 people in it and 6 of them didn’t go to college, 2 went to BSU, and 2 went to U of ID
@ski_racer Thank you for making me laugh so hard!! But really, I think applying from Idaho boosts your chances pretty significantly. Consider yourself lucky there.
@jswani My dad and I like to joke about the colleges that brag about “having students from all 50 states” and how they probably will be needing a ‘refill’ of Idaho pretty soon. Poor Princeton though. They’ve only got 49. Sad little Wyoming gets left out of the party.
@VeritasFicta Yea I got contacted on Sunday and my interview is tomorrow!
Should I be worried if I haven’t been contacted by an interviewer yet? Submitted almost 2 weeks ago…
@valkyries No worries, and also the fact that there is a delay in getting an interview has no implication on whether or not you are a good or bad applicant. So just relax, perhaps just check your spam box periodically.
@noanswers oh, okay–whew. thank you! i’m only a little anxious because i am in a sort of “high volume” area (i.e., a lot of applications from competitive students are sent in!) and i’d like to further expand upon some things on mine
also, does anyone know what exactly regional reps do? do they read all of the apps from the area?
So I have a dilemma. Harvard allows you to submit supplemental materials after submitting EA, and I want to submit something that will contribute greatly to my ‘spike’ in my app. But I won’t get my hands on it for like another ~2-3 weeks. Is it pointless to submit it so late, as they would have already looked at my app by Dec 1? Or should I still go ahead and submit it anyway?
@VeritasFicta Yeah, I did. Mine didnt say when it was due tho so RIP
@valkyries - I have not been contacted yet either. Hoping to hear soon. I would like to get a chance to interview.
What is this spike you keep speaking of???
@habitualnerd
@jpm1234 Same, I honestly think it would help me a bit. However I saw someone mention that the interview reports are due Nov. 12th? So I am sort of losing hope about getting contacted before then. I hope you get contacted soon, though!!
@valkyries interview reports are due at different times for different areas. I’m from Texas and my interviewer told me his is due on the 13th.
My interviewer told me that my state - MD - is part of the first committee on Nov. 10
@MaybeHarvard2022 Oh, thank you for the insight. Regardless, because it is already Nov. 8th, I feel like ~most~ of the interview report deadlines are nearing, so I am pretty much still resigned to not getting an interview. Especially because I submitted ~2 weeks ago and my area is pretty high volume. But it’s alright. Whatever happens, happens!
Are we sure that everyone gets an interview for Harvard?
