Is it too late to send my most current grades?
By the way does anyone here do CIE A-levels…What was the lowest grade on your transcript?
Is it too late? No. Will they be considered? IDK, but I doubt that any quarter’s grades will meaningfully impact a cum GPA and move an application from the reject/defer pile to the admit pile.
Hey, @Ramaa you mean UK type A levels?
@marypavlenko Yes
to all those waiting: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/party?iso=20171212T17&p0=797&font=cursive
@asaltyattic lol aiee it’s so cute
Gonna download it on my phone now ._. but I’m mentally preparing myself for the likely sad news
@asaltyattic could be a celebratory party, could be a pity party. Only time will tell.
@Ramaa yes my sister and me in my time did CIE A levels. But don’t the results come in August? Or did you send yours for a recheck?
@Ramaa hi there I took the A levels. And my lowest grade is an A
@asaltyattic Lmaoooo “party countdown” Let’s hope it’ll be a fun party
Is anyone here from Russia?
Has anyone who hadn’t been previously interviewed received their interview with admission officer?
@nekanorneki hang in there and focus on regular apps. I’m tense/almost-disappointed i haven’t got the interview yet too but doing my best to put this behind me. Deferral then acceptance is still a strong possibility, harvards done it plenty before in my country
@ThatapplicNt Has anyone in Pakistan received an interview?
By reading countless CC threads, I came to one conclusion: if you are an international student and aren’t interviewed, better to forget Harvard because you have less than 1% chance of being accepted (the only person who claimed to have seen international students without interview is @skieurope, but nearly 99% of the anecdotes, another exception being a British guy, suggest it is not the case). So I would assume those getting in without an interview are NOT from limited interview countries but from self-initiated interview countries. However, you maybe interviewed even towards the end of March for regular decision (as I read in a thread about an Indian who got interviewed three days before receiving the acceptance letter). So I would assume similar context applies for international students in Early Action. So we still have some hope till December 8 (interview with adcom). However, if we don’t get an interview by then, better to check the portal with a deferral/rejection in mind.
@nekanorneki Do international students get contacted for interviews or do they have to request for one?
@nekanorneki no one in pak that i know of, and didn’t someone say Harvard finalizes decisions by the 5th? Why would they send an interview call out after today? Honestly it might be better for your mental health if you stopped scouring through college confidential for obscure anecdotes that in the end will have no bearing on your decision. Not a rabbit hole you should be going down into
I wish we could know decisions tomorrow. (:
