@MaybeHarvard2022 Where did you find that information about the date? thank you for your help, just wondering so I can locate it on the website.
@studentathlete18 It’s not on their website. I contacted the Harvard Crimson writer who wrote an article stating the decision date and he said he received the date from the University. It’s official, so now we wait.
It’s been posted here many many times. Bill Fitzsimmons, Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, gave the date in an article with The Harvard Crimson.

Is Harvard planning on officially releasing the time/date for results? I know Stanford tweeted about their results today and UPenn sent emails already.
How many apps were sent in this year? Anyone know???
They have in past years, so I would assume so. When, however, is anyone’s guess.
Again, anyone’s guess. Harvard traditionally does not say until after it announces its decisions.
Anyone has any idea about the standing committee procedure I mentioned in #936?
@nekanorneki I’m not personally familiar with it. I have heard that if you submit an arts/writing/etc. portfolio or other such materials, it might be forwarded to certain faculty for another opinion - perhaps this Committee is one way in which this happens.
has anyone/anyone’s counselor been asked for mid year reports (or q1 grades)?
Correct - it might be forwarded. Admissions will use its discretion to forward some supplements to a faculty member to review. This faculty member may or may not be a member of the Standing Committee. The faculty member will evaluate the supplement and furnish his/her opinion which will be added to the application file. This will generally happen before the application package is sent to the full committee.
No, it just means that there is potentially another set of eyes looking at part of the application.
@asaltyattic i haven’t. haven’t seen anyone on here that has
Mid year reports are effectively optional, assuming you don’t have a huge drop in grades, etc. (I never sent anything in, nor was anyone at my school contacted). It probably won’t make any difference if you submit it or not - least of all now, I would expect this late into the process that most if not all EA decisions have probably been made and they’re doing the paperwork for the accepted students/packaging up acceptance envelopes.
Harvard mails out decisions? And has anyone been requested to submit additional financial information directly by Harvard (not the CollegeBoard/IDOC)?
Harvard posts decisions on the portal with an email linking to the portal. Accepted students only will receive a hardcopy and a welcome packet in the mail.
For anyone who uploaded supplemental work: Does it appear as though you uploaded twice when you know you only did once?
Do accepted international students also get the hard copy?
@skieurope I have to imagine the physical mail wouldn’t arrive prior to the 12th, assuming acceptance?
Do you guys think letters of recommendations from Harvard graduates help?
@annav12345 only if they know you well. if they just speak generally it won’t do much even if they’re harvard grads
@Noahdutch no they arrive some days after decisions are released. but i’m curious, is there any way to track if there’s a package coming to your house from a college?
