@x2019x LOL idek probably bc it’s SUPER catchy haha. my AP chem class was blasting it the other day (as a stress reliever before today’s test) and it was so funny as just a bunch of juniors and seniors singing along loosing our minds over college apps and chem
@bruhinterviewme A kidney would be more useful.
So much hand-wringing going on. I’m sure most if not all of you having some amazing other options as far as colleges go. You’re putting way too much importance on “only” getting into Harvard.
My counselor sent in my Fall term grades on Nov 26 (standard procedure at my school) and the weird ‘Academic Work’ upload that everyone’s talking about appeared on my portal at 3:44 AM that day. The ‘Mid Year Report’ in the application checklist, however, has since remained unchecked – until today. It changed to ‘Received’ on 12/05/2018, even though my counselor hasn’t uploaded any additional info since Nov 26. What does that mean?
What does Harvard do for schools that don’t utilize a quarter system to update grades? My home state lacks significant funding in education and many of our schools barely operate on a semester system as is.
Wait should I be concerned if there’s a red x by mid-year report?
Have you submitted your semester 1 grades? If not, then no I don’t think you have any reason to be concerned. The portal says just to keep them up to date with most recent grades @logosoverpathosm
Oh no… I never sent my first quarter grades because I was never asked for them. My transcript only has last year’s… Does yours have a red x? @lilyfullford
Yes, mine has a red x because I have only submitted first quarter grades. My mid-year report won’t be completed technically until late January. For SCEA applicants this is very common and not something you should worry about. @logosoverpathosm
@lilyfullford Ok thank you! Were we supposed to submit our first quarter grades? Am I at a disadvantage that I did not do so? I did not know…
@logosoverpathosm that’s what my checklist looked like up until today. My counselor said the Mid Year Report will be sent to colleges in February following the Winter Term; I’m confused as to why it suddenly changed to ‘Received’ on my checklist today.
@elevyn that is very comforting, thank you
does anyone know if harvard released its decision date very late last year as well?
I believe they released it on either dec 8 or 9 last year, so either a Thursday or Friday
@justaguy4321 thanks!! hopefully this year’s comes out today or tmrw
Oh sorry. On last years thread they talked about the day being released on dec 9, so it may have come out on dec 8 or 9, which was a Friday or Saturday. So idk what we have waiting for us @nijusohc
Harvard EA decisions were released on Tuesday December 12th last year per the Crimson article linked below. In past years, the decisions have been released on the 2nd Tuesday of December, so I’m guessing they’ll be released on the 11th.
No.
Quotes from that article: “Notifications were sent Monday to the 6,630 students who applied for early admission to the College under the Early Action program.”
Monday. As in Monday, Dec 11.
I checked Harvard Admission’s twitter page, and last year they tweeted on 12/12/17 at 6:30 AM:
“Early Action admission decisions will be released today no earlier than 7PM ET. Check the Applicant Status Portal to view your decision. #Harvard 2022”
does this mean they won’t tweet until the day of? And according to this tweet, the decisions were released on the 12th. This information is conflicting.
If anyone has ever called the admissions office, what did they say? (I don’t want to call them now bc I feel like so many ppl have bombarded them with calls lol)
