@jaygatsbyy I do, do you think it means something?
This is kind of random and not 100% specific to Harvard admissions, but I’m just curious: At high schools where several different AP classes are offered, but where some are more specific (i.e. computer science, photo, etc), are you still kind of expected to take as many as possible? Like at my school we only have like 6 APs in major academic areas, 5 of which I took, but then we also have like computer science and photography, which I didn’t take because that’s not my area. How does this impact admissions?
Note: Not really asking for myself, because I have extenuating circumstances that’s changed my courseload anyways, but it’s something I’ve wondered about for other students throughout the admissions process. It just seems sort of ridiculous to expect a junior or senior to take classes like that rather than in areas they actually care about JUST because they’re AP classes, but I know that every school makes a big deal about making the most of the AP courses offered at your high school.
Pretty sure that means that pseudo coded in the website is the ability to see the admitted students pages which becomes available when you are accepted. Doesn’t mean you were accepted
Yeah that’s exactly right ^^ the code is the same for everyone
What a relief lol I was about to go around asking for a computer so I could log in and check because I’m not at home
Does anyone have their additional letter of recommendation (from an “other recommender”) in their application portal? I do not see mine but it says on common app that it was submitted and had been downloaded.
@trackscience19 yeah same here on common app my other recommender letter was downloaded and submitted but on my portal it only shows teacher 1 and 2
@trackscience19 maybe it doesn’t show because it’s not a required component?
@lugdunensis that is what I was thinking.
Do ya’ll think it’s safe to assume that we’ll find out sometime next week (Dec 10-14) ? #:-S
@oRcHiD4 we’ll definitely find out next week
My bet (and hope) is for Tuesday!
By this time last year, they had not made an official announcement yet. It looks like we’ll either find out through a Crimson article or the morning of the day results are released.
According to a 12-09-2017 post by @MaybeHarvard2022, “Harvard historically doesn’t announce when EA decisions will be released, but allows students who are writers for the school newspaper publish the date in relevant articles.”
@worldwide1 thanks!! and I agree, I hope it’s Tuesday so I can get my decision over with lol
No college expects anyone to take every AP offered.
If you’re currently attending school in the UK, the UK AO will read, but you are a domestic applicant if you are a US citizen.
I know that the source code means nothing. There are no Easter eggs there.
We’ve really got some professional tea leave readers here lmao
I just wanna know when they’ll release it
@skieurope There is no way to confirm that all required financial aid materials have been received, correct? Should I be concerned if there supposedly are missing documents in IDOC, but I have not been contacted?
I had my interview on Wednesday of this week which seems really late especially if they’re supposed to admit people next week. I applied three days before the deadline because one of my teachers who had written my recommendation letter had her baby before she could upload it and wasn’t responding to her emails, so I thought I wasn’t going to be considered for an interview. I was wondering if anyone else had a late interview, and what it might mean?
