Harvard, Upenn(wharton) chances.

Dude, you look like the type of guy that gives other applicants nightmares. Make sure your essays are good next year and you should have a very good shot at making it in

For someone with a fascist moniker, your EC’s are suprisingly socialistic. I suspect that all is not right in Mussolini-land and that you’re enjoying pulling a few legs.

Thanks guys!

Sosomenza, I actually created this account while I was reading up a little about Fascism. However hard this may be to grasp, one of the major ideas in the doctrine of Fascism is “Love thy neighbour as you would yourself.” There just happens to be extremists in ever stream of thought, and sadly it is those people who are recognized.

Studying different ideologies is a noble pursuit. But having said that. Please do not email any University with the the name of fascist.

Don’t believe such posts. Despite your superfluous test scores and EC’s, you’re still an Asian international applicant. I’m sorry to say that international Asians have almost no chance of being admitted to HYPSMW. Last year, Harvard took less than 2% of international while Wharton took a marginally higher percentage (between 3-5%). The only internationals I know who were admitted to HYPSMW where international olympiad medalists, founders of massive companies (think 5,000+ employees), or people who had raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local government/charities.

That said, you’re still an unbelievable candidate and are definitely competitive at non-HYPSMW colleges. Assuming that you showed interest and wrote good essays, you should definitely be able to get into an ivy, UChicago, Duke, or Caltech. Good luck in the admissions process!

Thank you very much.

Also, I realize the implications of having a moniker that links to the likes of Mussolini and Franco, it was just the first word that I thought of considering I had just been reading about it. No offence to anyone, and I hope no one was put off or hurt in any way because of my user name.

Thank you for trying to give me a firm grasp on the reality of the situation, however I personally know many kids from my school who are in MIT and Princeton as well as kids who got in early to Wharton(Huntsman) and Stanford this year. Come to think of it, they were all american citizens, and so am I. Maybe that is of some consequence. In no way am I stating that I will follow them, but I just wanted to mention that I may have a little more than “almost no chance.”

Harvard sounds like a good choice for you. Hope you make it, and it sounds like you’re on track!

thank you!

OP is just about the fairest minded, non-defensive poster on this site! Round of applause!

Haha, thank you!

You should have stated that you were an American Citizen. In your original post, you said that you were on your HS Cricket team. There are no varsity cricket teams in the US, so I assumed that you were an international Indian applicant.

Now that you’ve disclosed your citizenship, I think Wharton is definitely possible.t. Harvard is impossible to predict though so it could really go either way, regardless of how qualified you are. I hope you applied to other ivies and top colleges. In any case, good luck during the RD round.

Thanks Fate!

Also I hope you have a lot of fun in Carnegie Mellon, I know someone who got rejected this year and he was a very good applicant so, congratulations on that my friend. Work hard, play hard.

Lol, will do  I think you’ll get into a top 10 school AT LEAST. You’ve worked incredibly hard to get those EC’s and have one of the strongest apps I’ve ever seen. Congrats on all your achievements thus far dude.

As far as I know about the these admission trends, you will most probably get into Wharton. In fact, I can’t see any reason for your rejection there. Good Luck!
