Ive analyzed my top choices Harvard and UPENN from every angle except reputation, and UPENN is slightly ahead at the moment. I think reputation is important and Id like everyone to give me a quick thought about each schools reputation or whether they think the respective reputations are about the same.

Well depends. Professionally speaking, I think UPenn is better than Harvard, in terms of the opportunities and results one receives, if you’re accepted into Wharton or one of its specialized dual degree programs like Jerome Fisher M&T or Huntsman; otherwise, Harvard is much more prestigious, has a better location, is surrounded by MIT and other major universities, and thus a better safety net and a more optimal choice in this regard. This is all, of course, excluding personal attributes in regards to fit.

You should go to UPenn solely for cheese steak.

But heck, it all depends on did you get in or not. It’s empty talk if you get in neither school. The best bet is ask this question after you get accepted to both schools.

The chances of you getting into both are likely slim, so chances are you won’t have to make this decision. If you do get into both, visiting the prefrosh weekends at each is likely to be more helpful than anything we can say. (If you’re still stuck, come back and I’m sure there will be people who will opinionate.)
