<p>OK, more HW kids go to USC than all UC's combined (by far). Several times more than to either Cal or UCLA.
I wasn't expecting such a huge disparity, but it's not entirely surprising.</p>

Well, it's NYC, and NYU has some highly-regarded programs, so if you have money to burn, I guess I can understand it.</p>

UMich is a great school, but OOS at UMich is also quite a bit more costly than in-state at Cal or UCLA. UMich is highly regarded, but Cal is, if anything, even better, and UCLA isn't far behind. They're all big state schools. Can someone explain the dynamic going on there?</p>
