You can think about going to Harvard, Yale, and Stanford for law school. Just keep in mind that it's a little bit like thinking about marrying Jennifer Lopez. It's not impossible - a few people actually manage to do so. It's just that the odds are fairly long.

There are other law schools in the US right..NYU..UChicago...Northwestern...or did they just disappear

If you're 17, you shouldn't be thinking about this at all. Worry about college first.

If (s)he wouldn't be thinking about it at all, (s)he would probably not be going to college.

If (s)he wouldn't be thinking about it at all, (s)he would probably not be going to college.

There are a lot of reasons to go to college besides getting into law school, and if you can't think of any, and law school is the sole reason that you're interested in college, then yes, you probably have some more maturing to do before you're ready to go.

I'm currently enrolled as a freshman at Texas Tech Universtiy and am looking at attending Stanford Law school. What kind of LSAT score, and GPA would give me a shot at going to stanford? Does anyone know where I also find in information on tuition at schools like stanford and northwestern?

Read the first two pages.

GPA>3.7 and LSAT>170 at the minimum, plus good personal stuff.

Well, I don't know if those are the minimums for everyone, but in general, if you don't have numbers that high and don't have some amazing story about yourself, then you probably have little shot.

Greybeard: a few people have already married Jennifer Lopez? I knew that my life was forfeit if it ever depended on a quiz based on "People" magazine but that took me by surprise.

TheDad,

I just Googled her, and read that her third marriage appears to be on the rocks.

Gentlemen...get ready...will any of you be the fourth? :D

What!?! You cannot say that! You are perpetuating a delusion;)

Gentlemen? This is the 21st century... what about ladies?

What do you know about jaylo that the rest of us don't aries?

Like TheDad, I am unfit for anything which would require even a basic level of cultural literacy. :p

That all said - it if doesn't work the first three times, maybe another approach could be considered. Besides, someone over in Hollywood needs to come out with a good life-altering scandal so we can stop hearing about Tom and Katie and silent childbirth.

(Then again, maybe Oprah has it right - don't marry him, just string him along. ;) Actually, might be a good approach.)

You got billions, you can string me along, rope me along, or just take me along! LOL

ROTFL! :)

I'm one of those libertarian, do-whatever-you-want-with-your-life people. So more power to you, CD!

My motto. LOL

My wife won't let me marry J-Lo.

But if I were thinking about doing so, it would probably be better to be husband number five before applying, so I could study the 25th and 75th percentile data and better evaluate my chances.

But I'd only be interested if People Magazine continued to rank her among the top 14.

If I was doing what I wanted with my life I would be paid a 1/100 of one percent commission on every real estate transaction in Los Angeles County for my role as rogue elephant protector, I'd have a harem of interesting, intelligent women who all got along with each other, I'd have the time to finish writing one novel every two years, and UCLA football would be in the middle of a 263-game winning streak.

But people just aren't cooperating with me.
