Harvard

[Peter driving the Pope through Rhode Island]
The Pope: Are you sure this is Boston?
Peter Griffin: Yeah, its Boston. See look, there's Harvard.
The Pope: That's just a barn.
Peter Griffin: Ooh. Someone went to Yale! .

I got a letter from Harvard today with my login pin and all that jazz. Anyone else?

exciting! i have not yet -- where do you live?

Massachusetts (so this makes sense).

i have my pin, and i checked via their online site and it says that all my materials have been successfully recieved... but i sent mine in like a week early, if that makes a difference.

LOL @ martinibluex!

Lol, no letter. Harvard haven't answered my e-mail from 2 months ago either. I'd say they are either busy or I am not worth it.

Janel, you told me you weren't transferring this year.... hey just give you pin like tha?
A bunch of nice people I say :)

haha, I said that I wasn't sure if I was transferring this year. And so far, because Harvard is the only school that I've applied to, I'd say that I most likely won't be transferring this year after all.

arg... so you are just sabotaging other transfers :) ?

argh, no no. I am actually providng you with a juxtaposition that will surely work to your advantage ;)

lol, come on you have a lot to say, i am sure that you are a worthy rival.

my harvard app says that my HS transcript hasn't been received -- anyone else having a similar issue? i requested it a month ago...

...the fact that my recs and college transcript were processed a month after mailing may suggest that harvard is a bit behind on updating their system. what do you guys think?

yeah don't worry about it, byul. when i applied last year, it took them several weeks to put everything up on the check list as received. when i called to inquire what was taking so long, they told me that they were simply swamped with sorting everything out, and it might be a while.

I am sick of some of these schools. They have deadlines for when materials should be received, but they are usually too occupied to even sort them when they arrive. Perhaps it would be wiser to extend the deadline to a time after freshmen decisions have been rendered.

nspeds, the staff of Harvard transfer admissions is entirely different from that of freshman; they are not even in the same building.

I am aware that a different committee handles transfer admissions; my statement was not in response to Harvard:

I believe they are in the same building, or at least the transfer coordinator is, since I met her in Byerly Hall.

does harvard consider your SAT scores if you retake them in College

^ I don't think so.

Why wouldn't they? As long as you take them before the application deadline...

anyone missing any materials???
my college transcript is missing despite the fact that i put it together with the supplement. realy, really weird. also some other stuff :/
