Can freshmen live in single dorms? and what is the price difference between a single and a double? I can't seem to find pricing information. Thanks!

There are no price differences for rooming, with the exception of the CGU apartments which really don’t concern freshmen. All dorms have a combination of singles and doubles and freshmen are assigned to all dorms on campus, but the only dorm in which freshmen can live in singles is South, a dorm unique for being almost entirely single rooms.

Freshmen do not choose their own dorm and roommate first year, but are placed in after filling out an extensive survey. The vast majority seem to end up fairly happy with the results of these placements. If you strongly advertise your desire for a single room in the survey, they will take it into consideration (I mentioned my preference in the survey and was placed into South my freshmen year).

Thanks! Did the single room work well with you and were you happy with it (did you feel to isolated)? What did you say on the survey to show your interest in a single room?
