its because they only offer STEM courses that are the highest paying for graduates. Harvard and Stanford have majjors like arts, music, etc that aren’t as financial rewarding as engineering degrees.
It does have almost entirely STEM majors, but quite a few of them are biology & chem majors (not particularly high paying fields). Some of them don’t even go into STEM upon graduating; my kid has one former classmate in library science now and another in law school. But a Mudd student who wants to get a job that pays well after graduating generally can do so! A lot of them go on to grad school, which is pretty low earning for several years as well.
Talk about an article that says absolutely nothing . . .
