Have you ever heard of anyone being declared admittance but then due to poor grades senior year your admittance taken away?

If so, how bad do you have to do for this to happen?

IU08, I've never heard of that, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened. Why do you ask, are you planning on not studying your second semester? ;-)

haha im just curious

Don't know how often this happens at IU-B, but last year UCLA and the University of Washington put out some statistics on this for their schools.

I remember UCLA dropped 73 students for this reason--the Univ of Washington dropped 23.

Here's the news article (which lists lots of other schools that rescinded admission as well):

CALIFORNIA / Colleges crack down on taking freshmen with 'senioritis'

I think UCLA put this out also because of some incorrect info that had been posted on collegeconfidential the previous year (2005)

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention--UCLA also routinely checks on the validity of what students put down on their applications. Last year they threw out some students who had lied on their applications about what they actually did in school (president of clubs, community service, etc.). I don't know whether IU-B does similar things, but it's possible.

P.S. Can't find the link on this--but it was on a different CC posting--so search for it if you are interested.
