I got in a few days ago. So relieved because apparently, they had 71,000 applicants and they are only accepting 5,500. They probably accepted very few, if any, international students - which is why, I assume, iamtheironman didn’t get in, even with his amazing stats.

Definitely try to appeal, because really, what’s the worst that could happen?

I’m a first time freshman and I applied undeclared
3.6 gpa
1890 SAT

I graduated last year from a high school in Canada (I was born in the US, so I’m an American citizen). I decided to take the year off and move to SoCal to get my California residency. CSULB reviewed me with the international admission, but I was still given residency.

I am a transfer applicant from out of the service area (Santa Monica, Ca)…

Psych major (impacted)
3.93 GPA from community college

I have been accepted to CSUN and CSULA, but am very eager to hear from CSULB! The wait is awful!

If anyone is wondering why I am not going to a UC, it is because I do not want to pay that tuition. I am an older student, who does not qualify for any aid. I also want to attend graduate school, so the expenses will just keep rising.

Just wanted to jump in! I am new to the forum! Good luck everyone!

jenksstudent, where will you go in Oklahoma? OU?

I am sorry that you didn’t get in. I didn’t get in either. I am from NY. I, too, was surprised that I didn’t get in. I was upset at first, but have moved on. Hoping things work out for you.

I called the hotline today and I’m waitlisted. Surprised none of you guys were waitlisted. I’m really anxious, wondering how many of us on the waitlist will be offered admission.

Stats:
GPA - 3.3 UW, 3.5 W
4 APs
1780 SAT
CA resident, not from LB area.
